Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic, often disabling disease that attacks the central nervous system. For each person, the progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS are unpredictable and vary greatly. In the United States today, there are approximately 400,000 people with MS — with 200 more people diagnosed every week. New treatments and advances in research are giving hope to those affected by the disease.
