JOHANNA BIEDERMAN,
M.S.
Director of Development
Jo Biederman served as the face of multiple
sclerosis on Long Island for more than a dozen years as CEO of
the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Long Island Chapter
bringing it to new heights in fiscal stability. An accomplished
fund raising professional, she received a Master of Science
degree from SUNY at Stony Brook, Bachelor of Science from St.
Joseph’s College and an AAS in nursing from Suffolk Community
College. She was inducted into Long Island Business News
2003 and 2002 Top 50 Women on Long Island, named 2001 Woman of
Distinction by Distinction Magazine and has been highlighted in
numerous business publications. She has been a frequent speaker
(both radio and TV) and workshop leader on multiple sclerosis.
Convinced of the importance of the work being
done by Dr. Lauren Krupp at the National Pediatric Multiple
Sclerosis Center, she was lured out of retirement to take on the
vital role of raising money and increasing outreach for this
significant cause.
